NC committed for better governance:Shaheen

Pattan/Srinagar, March 20 (Scoop News) – The Ex-MP and senior leader of the National Conference, A.R.Shaheentoday while addressing a huge gathering at Patten said that the present Government of the Jammu and Kashmir under the dynamic leadership of Omar Abdullah is very eager to provide every basic facility to the people of the State. He said that the National Conference is the identity of the people of the State and asked people for strengthening the hands of the Chief Minister. He said it was the National Conference which under the leadership of the late Sheri-Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah fought against the autocracy and the people of the state were given rights of the ownership of the land with one stroke of the pen and thousands of the famers became the owners of the land within one night.

Shaheen said that National Conference has a long history of offering sacrifices for the upliftment of the poor masses and maintaining the identity of the people of the State. He said, no doubt, the present government have launched a number of developmental schemes, however, there are yet certain areas where there is a need to give more attention, like education, healthcare, road connectivity, adequate drinking water facilities etc.

He said the Pattan area also faces some problems and appealed to the Government to solve them on priority basis. He said that he will take up all these demands before the higher authorities for early settlement.

He assured the people that their genuine grievances would be redressed as early as possible.
