Panthers Party File privilege motion against J&K CM for anti-India remarks




Srinagar, October 08 (Scoop News) -  . Harsh Dev Singh, MLA and Leader of the Panthers Legislature Party today moved a petition before the Speaker of J&K Assembly demanding removal of anti-India remarks of the Chief Minister he made on October 6, 2010 which contravenes rather infringe Section 3 of the J&K Constitution which expressly states that J&K is integral part of the Union of India. . Harsh Dev Singh in his petition said that the Chief Minister categorically stated in the Assembly that J&K has acceded to the Union of India and not merged with it. This statement is violative of Section 3 of the Constitution of J&K which states in very unambiguous terms that J&K is an integral part of India. The remarks being derogatory and contemptuous of the Constitution are required to be expunged from the records of the proceedings.


. Harsh Dev also announced in the Assembly that the Panthers Party MLAs shall boycott the rest of the Assembly Session in protest against the anti-national and communally provoked statement of the Chief Minister on the Floor of the Assembly.


 


Meanwhile due to the first day of Navratras,no response was given to the call for Jammu Bandh against CM for anti-India remarks. The call was  given by Panthers Party yesterday.
