Shatarup Ghosh is the youngest Communist party of India (Marxist) candidate for West Bengal Assembly Election 2011. 25 years old Shatarup is an active member of the Student Federation of India,student wing of CPI (M). He is an ex-college student of Asutosh college and whole time party worker. Shatarup will contest for Kasba assembly constituency which known as Red fort for Left Front.The Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate list also contains not only new, but also faces like FICCI Secretary General Amit Mitra, former chief secretary Manish Gupta, two former IPS officers Rachpal Singh and Sultan Singh. TMC has more than 100 new faces.The party is contesting in 226 seats leaving 65 seats to its ally Congress, two to SUCI and one to NCP.
