President Musharraf Resigns

General Quit

At last the announcement is on air and the President of Pakistan General(retired) Pervaiz Musharraf in his address to the nation has formally declaired to quit the office. There were some strong speculation in the media since this morning when presidential spokesman Rashid Quraishi informed the media about the President's speech, that he would annonce to leave the post.

The ruling coalition has already prepared a charge sheet against the outgoing dictator who ruled the country for 9 years with an iron feist. The charge sheet would have been presented in the parliament if the decission have not come today. Many critics will rate it as the top most victory for the political forces, who were engaged against the dictator's rule since last many years. Now a new era has started in the politics of Pakistan, a country where the army ruled for more than 30 years of its 6 decades. Many jubilant people from all walk of life has already started celebrating the exit of President Musharraf. They are raising slogans and showing the victory symbol while hugging to each other on the streets of Pakistani cities.
