Jammu, April 12 - Roots in Kashmir (RIK), a global frontline initiative of the Kashmiri Pandit youth on Sunday criticized the Global Human Rights groups and the Government of India which paid no heed to the exiled Hindus of Kashmir.

RIK.’s New Delhi representative Ranish Hangloo while addressing to the delegates in the 3rd World Kashmiri Pandit Conference on its second day in Zorawar Singh Auditorium in Jammu University reflected on how youth could play a pivotal role of power and zeal in the ongoing struggle for Homeland and to get justice. He in blunt terms criticized the Global Human Rights groups and the Government which paid no heed to the exiled Hindus of Kashmir. He said " It is unfortunate that terrorists and fanatics like Yasin Malik, Bitta Karate etc. are given treatment of state guests while the Pandits languish in camps in inhuman animal existence".

He said, "Its time we as a community need to take things under control and lift the morale of the Pandits who have faced most in this horrific hour of terror".
Mr Hangloo said; "We at Roots In Kashmir may need to learn more about Karma and Dharma; but we certainly know much about Karna and Dharna in last 20 years. He assured the audience that RIK would do whatever possible in the coming days to strategise and mark our right over our own land".

Among others, on behalf of RIK the jam packed audience at the auditorium was also addressed by its global coordinator Veer Wangoo.He said "We need to accommodate and live up to the modern times and the need of the hour is to change our working strategy." "Global Pandit forums are keen work on a strategy for Homeland. He said Panun Kashmir has been a dream for the entire community and time isn't far when it will be a reality,” Veer Wangoo added

As part of RIK initiative in the youth section of the World Conference, titled "Youth in Exile - Challenges Galore"; RIK presented before the audience three documentaries conceptualised by them on the last 19 years of exile. It as well emphasised on the recent Amarnath agitation and role played jointly by pandits and the common citizens of Jammu in the months long struggle. It reflected the pain and anguish of the more than 50,000 inmates of the camps in Jammu. The movies as well showcased the present state of the temples in the Kashmir valley which have been destroyed by the Islamic fanatics in last two decades.

A four minute audio-video presentation based on the song of US based rapper and singer Ashish Kaul (Emcee Hash) was as well shown. The song named "Panun Kashmir" dedicated to the half a million Pandits in exile has been a hit on the charts all over the US.
