Steve Jobs at Stanford Commencement
Steve Jobs delivered the commencement speech at Stanford University on 12th June 2005. So, why I am mentioning it now? I understand that it is pretty old news, but this was the most inspiring speech I ever heard, and wanted the visitors of Groundreport to "savour" this speech
He describes "three stories" that occurred in his life and what they have taught him.
Parts of next few lines are directly taken from his speech, because no other words can describe those ideas better.
The first story is "about connecting the dots". Here he explains why one should follow his/her heart.
The next story is "about love and loss". Here he advocates to "do" what we "love". A must read/see for every young guy starting out.
The last story is "about death". In this snippet, he talks about how he survived after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and what death has taught him. This is the best perception of death, I have ever heard.
Spend a few minutes on this one. It is one of the best speeches that has ever been delivered..
