Taliban clash with Upper Dir locals

PESHAWAR: Situation has became tense in Upper Dir, 150 kilometer away from NWFP capital Peshawar after clash between taliban and the locals. "first clash between the locals and the taliban happened at Myanz Dog area on the day before yesterday", sources said. Taliban wants to establish their writ in Upper Dir. A group of taliban started pateroling at Chinarano area and established checkpost for increasing their influence. "an enconter occured between the locals and taliban. During the armed clash taliban fired rockets that hit two houses. The houses were partially demaged but no casualty reported there", a local person revealed. After the clash situation became tense and more police has been deployed to the area for maiting law and order.
