Video: Tibetan Protesters at Beijing Olympics
BEIJING, China -- On August 5, 2008, days before the Olympic games began, GroundReport correspondent Noel "noneck" Hidalgo videotaped Tibetan protesters ascending poles outside the Olympic nest.
Brandishing signs that read, "One World, One Dream. Free Tibet," the protesters were eventually forced to return to the ground by the Chinese fire department.
Mr. Hidalgo's travel to Beijing was sponsored by the activist group Students for a Free Tibet. He was deported on August 10, 2008 for photographing and documenting protests.
