UAE women in history of aeronautics

Two UAE women from Khor Fakkan are set to make aeronautical history as they prepare to become the first UAE female pilots to take to skies.

Salma Mohammed al Baloushi from Al Ain and Aisha Hassan al Mahammed said they cannot wait to graduate as pilot for UAE carrier Etihad Airways.

“We are very proud to be representing the female population in the UAE”. Aisha was inspired to become a pilot after a zero gravity experience at Al Ain air show.

“I loved being in sky and knew instantly that I wanted to become a pilot. My family is so proud of what I am doing” she said to reporters.
