Regional news channels in Calcutta continue the same conventional structures

New entrants of local TV channels in Calcutta should use vastly different approaches to earn revenues by drawing more viewers.Local TV stations should torn up the format of their prime time news which will be less formal and more interactive.They can blend information with entertainment .I don't understand why they use the same conventional structure where male or female anchor delivers the news from behind a desk on a studio setup.

By experimenting with the news, TV stations may alienate some of its traditional viewers,but those who are not market leaders should experiment because they have nothing to loose.In America,provincial or regional TV channels revamp their news cast to earn more revenues and to attract young viewers.But,regional news channels in Calcutta continue the same conventional structures.
