Suspected criminal gang massacres six in Kathmandu

A gang of suspected criminals at 00:30 on Wednesday murdered six persons at Bhotahity in Kathmandu. According to a taxi driver, one of the eyewitnesses, the gang on a vehicle numbered B. A. Ch. 8030 drove to the bar of the pavement and killed six passers-by while some others escaped the attempt. The driver said that he and some other taxi drivers took the dead bodies to Bir Hospital after the police told them to do so after the incident. Ideological prejudices kill 200 diarrhea patients in Nepal

Nepali media had begun to bring out news reports on the diarrhea outbreak in Jajarkot from April 2009. Follow-up news reports on Jajarkot diarrhea spread show that about 100 patients lost their lives by the third week of this month. But the toll rose to at least 150 by the first half of the fourth week of this month. However, neither any government health mechanism nor any mass media adopted an investigative approach. Swine flu cases increasing in Norway

Although nobody in Norway till date has died of H1N1 (Swine Flu), the Norwegian Institute of Public Health has the past week registered 35 new cases of the Influenza, reports the Norway Post Daily. According to the newspaper, it now makes 75 persons tested positive for H1N1 since 9 may 2009. Among those found affected, 68 percent are reported under 30.
