Srinagar, September 5 Scoop News) -Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather today said that the doors of the Government are always open for dialogue with employees to sort out their issues.
Denying the statement attributed to him carried in a section of press that employees should not demand more, Rather clarified that Government has met most of the demands of the employees and will continue to hold discussion with them in future to redress their grievances, adding that the employees are the instrumentality of the Government responsible for bringing about social and economic upliftment and that the confrontation between the Government and employees is in nobody’s interest.
Rather said that there is no question of Government closing the doors for dialogue and negotiation with its employees adding that that the dialogue with the employees is a continuous process which is going on at present as well. The dialogue is imperative in any democratic dispensation, he added.
Referring to the pact between J&K Bank and RBI, Rather clarified that Government was paying interest to J&K Bank against overdraft and not to the RBI as reported in the news story.
