Four advisers of the interim caretaker government of Bangladesh resigned today. Resigned advisers and their family members have confirmed the news of resignation. The advisers are Law and Information Adviser Barrister Mainul Hosein, Power and Energy Adviser Tapan Chowdhury, Industries and woman welfare Adviser Geeteara Safiya Chowdhury.
The chief adviser’s press secretary Syed Fahim Munaim confirmed that four advisers have sent their resignation letter to the president Dr. Yajuddin Ahmed. The advisers mentioned `personal reasons’ for their resignations. The swearing-in ceremony for new advisers would take place Wednesday (9 January), Fahim Munaim told journalists.
Army backed caretaker government, lead by chief adviser Dr. Fakaruddin Ahmed is going to celebrate one year of there power 11 January. However, five advisers of 10 already quiet from the cabinet. Cultural affairs adviser Ayub Quadri was the first resign his post in December, taking the responsibility for the loss of rare artifacts from Zia International Airport.
