The International Red Cross had been complaining about the seemingly uncooperative stance by Israeli authorities on the organization’s efforts in helping the war victims in Gaza. ‘This is a shocking incident, said Pierre Wettach, Red Cross Regional Head, after seeing it has found four starving children at the house, clinging to the corpses of their dead mothers’
Even the ground crew of the United Nations was not spared by Israel’s ground and air attacks as some of its transport equipment used in bringing food, medicine and other forms of aid were hit which resulted in the death of one of its ground staff.

In the meantime, US President-elect Barack Obama was reported to have considered talking to Hamas after he is sworn into office in an effort to diffuse the explosive situation.
In another development, the United Nations have passed a resolution calling for immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas but both sides seem to have ignored the resolution as they continue to launch air and ground assault on its respective targets.
