Azim Premji of Wipro pledges huge endowment to support education
In a huge act of philanthropy by an Indian, Azim Premji of Wipro will give about Rs 8,846 crore to improve school education in India. His endowment has paled the other charitable donations by any person or corporation in India. Azim Premji who is India’s third richest man with a net worth of $ 18 billion will transfer 213 million equity shares of Wipro Ltd to the Azim Premji Trust.
