(New York, N.Y.) Lisa Miller writing for The New York Times www.nytimes.com Sept. 5, 2010 said according to data released last year by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, a quarter of Americans now believe in reincarnation.
The reporter went on to say Julia Roberts recently told Elle magazine that though she was raised Christian, she had become "very Hindu."
She then quoted the actress as saying Roberts believes that in her past life she was a "peasant revolutionary,"
The New York Times journalist said at Cannes in May, a Thai film about reincarnation, "Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives," won the highest prize.
In it, the reporter went on to say, an old man on his deathbed sees the dead as vividly as the living, and his past life as an ox is as clear as his present one.
Host of Spirituality Today, Jackie O’Neal says: “ I’ve read extensively on the process of healing ancestral wounds by leaders such as Dr. Barbara Stone.”
“My guest will be Yolanda Macias, a gifted clairvoyant who specializes in past life readings and has helped hundreds of individuals gain an understanding on how past lives can influence the present.”
"I’m addressing these issues in my forthcoming book, a memoir Identity Politics: How I integrated my multi-cultural past to make the most out of life. Since my roots derived from two ancestral groups, the Tehuelche Mapuche indians and the African slaves and their presence in Argentina. My research led me to understand both groups had been persecuted and segregated throughout the history of Argentina. My book will explore the attempts made at forced assimilation throughout Argentina’s history to create a society more "ethnically homogenous" and how I underwent an indoctrination while growing up that emphasized the rhetoric of the white majority- "In Argentina, there are no blacks."
