Morgan Freeman, 71, was critically injured in a car accident on Sunday near the Clarksdale, Mississippi blues club he owns, Ground Zero Blues Club.
Morgan Freeman was driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima on Highway 32 in central Mississippi when the car flipped off of the road and came to rest in a ditch. Rescue workers had to use the jaws of life to rescue Freeman and his passenger, Demaris Meyer. Freeman was airlifted to The Med Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee where he is currently in serious condition.
Morgan Freeman has a home near the site of Sunday’s accident, but he could have been coming from the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS that he owns. The Ground Zero Blues Club has food and live music and also has rooms available for rent.
