Jammu, October 9 (Scoop News) –MLC Ajay Sadhotra today said that PDP’s tirade against Chief Minister Mr Omar Abdullah shows the frustration of its leadership in view of the fact that all its efforts to destabilize the coalition government has failed. He said that by naming Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the issue of custodial death of National Conference Syed Mohammad Yousuf it was making desperate attempt to grab the power. “It is a political stunt. PDP leaders want power at any cost. They have launched a vicious campaign against CM, regardless of the fact that he ordered a judicial inquiry into the matter on his own”, he added.
He suggested the PDP leadership to wait for next elections and do not resort to cheap politics to grab the power.
The senior NC leader and MLC, was addressing a public meeting at Ajeet Nagar, Gol Gujral.
He said that government has already ordered a judicial probe into the matter, adding that PDP should not jump to any conclusion. He said the PDP should respect the Judicial system in other case it means that they have no faith in democratic spirit. The government is committed to an expeditious and transparent judicial probe into the incident so that the truth is revealed, he added.
Taking a dig on the PDP leadership he said Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his entire brigade has always indulged in manipulative politics to grab power.
On the occasion, the residents of Ajeet Nagar and adjoining areas putforth their demands and grievances which include blacktopping of roads, upgradation of lanes and drains, development of park on modern lines in Ajit Colony, rationalisation of BPL list, installation of poles and transformers at various location, regular ration supply, water supply, uninterrupted power supply, construction of stadium in Gol Gujral, provision of adequate transport facility for Gol Gujral, etc.
Responding to their demands, the MLC assured them that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a time bound manner.
He also appealed the people to avail benefits under various state and centrally sponsored schemes which the government has introduced for the upliftment of weaker section of the society. He said the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has fulfilled his promise by conducting free and fair panchayat election in the state to transfer power to grass root level democratic institutions. He said that the coalition government was committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of three region of the State at their doorstep. He informed that government has already sanctioned a stadium costing Rs. 1.25 crore and community hall costing Rs. 1 crore in Marh.
Sarpanch Gol Gujral Inderpal Singh also joined the National Conference party on the occasion.
