Kargil/Srinagar, May 21 (Scoop News) – One of the prominent Religious Scholar and Aaleem-e-Deen Hujatul Islam Sheikh Mohammad Baqir of Yourbaltak Soth Kargil was laid to rest at his ancestral Graveyard on Fruiday morning . He passed away at the age of 80 years after a brief illness.
On his sudden demise there was an atmosphere of mourning and bereavement.
Thousands of people both men and women participated in his mourning procession. The Nimaaz-e-Janaza was performed by Imam-e-Juma Wal Jammait Kargil Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Mussa-e Shareifi and some of the prominent Religious Scholars of Islamia School Kargil also attended the last rites.
The Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan along with Executive Councilor Haji Ghulam Amir, Engineer Punchok Tashi, Councilor Poyen Haji Ibrahim and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Hassan Khan also participated in the last rites.
Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan said that the sudden demise of such a prominent Scholar is a great lose to the society and paid his condolence to the grieved family and the people of Kargil.
