Bio

At IWPR (Institute for War & Peace Reporting) , we believe in the power of independent journalism to build peace and democracy in areas of crisis. Our programs strengthen the capacity of independent media to ensure that voices of human rights activists and local civil society groups resonate locally and abroad.

We run long-term reporting, training and capacity-building programs in more than two dozen areas in crisis and transition around the world. These programs empower local journalists and activists to be the most effective watchdogs possible within their communities.
