Stephanie Nielson suffered burns on 90 percent of her body, the third passenger was killed and Christian was also injured, although not as badly.

Stephanie Nielson has authored the Nie Nie Dialogues since 2005, chronicling life with her children– Claire, 6, Jane, 5, Oliver, 3 and Nicholas, 23 months. She published stories, photos and anecdotes about the good times and bad times of life as a mother, wife, friend and sister. In the wake of the crash, supporters of Nielson’s blog have worked alongside her family to raise money for the couple and their family. They sold items from the Nielson family archives including bridesmaid dresses and shoes worn by the children. Organizers say they might raise as much as $100,000 when it is all said and done.
