Longest load shedding exercising at Chitral.
CHITRAL: The line staff of Peshawar Electricity Supply company (Pesco) exercising longest load shedding at some parts of Chitral. The Pesco staff removes links of different transformers at Evening to disconnect power supply and connect it in morning on early day. As a result people facing great problems in the holy month of Ramzan (fast). The consumer suffering both in Aftari and Sehri times. Especially Twilight times they disturbing by mosquitoes and hot weather. Pesco staff removed links of transformers to disconnect supply of electricity at Upper Balach, Civil Aviation, Met colony and adjacent areas at 7. PM in Evening as a result consumers deprived from electricity the whole night and Pesco staff connected links on early day at 2. PM thus the consumers faced to bear 19 hours continue load shedding which is totally illegal and injustice. When consumers tried to contact Pesco complaint office there was no official to attend telephone of consumers and to satisfy them about this longest load shedding of 19 hours (continue). Some of consumers complained and alleged that Pesco staff not remove links of some transformers where influential people living. But they plunge in dark citizen of poor and helpless segment. By this way not only they discriminate in distribution of electricity but also violate instructions of Federal Minister for water and power (Wapda) who have directed Wapda staff to avoid from load shedding in Sehri and Aftari times in the month of Ramzan. Residents of the area have appeal federal Minister for Water and Power, Secretary, Chairman Wapda, Chief Executive Pesco for taking stern action against Pesco Chitral staff who exercising longest load shedding only for their only rest and to save themselves from hardworking of a few moments to connect links of transformers for power supply.
Parents appeal for starting examinastions of Third and fourth years.
A meeting of parents of 3rd and 4th years students was held here in a local hotel. Addressing to the gathering Nizar Wali Shah a social worker said that due to not fixing date for annual examination of 3rd and 4th year at Chitral precious time of students wasting. He said that Chitral is a peaceful area and there is no problem of law and order situation. He said that University of Malakand should to announce date of annual examinations otherwise students should be promoted in next classes keeping in view their previous progress. He warned that if University administration not announced of examination students of Chitral would approach court of justice against the university.
