Jammu, March 10, (Scoop News)- Ahead of the budget session commencing from 18th of March, the first time legislators will be undergoing an orientation course at Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA) on 15th March to receive detailed information about the functioning of the Legislative Assembly/ Council and to familiarise the new entrants with the operational mechanism, business rules, Assembly/ Council traditions, conventions and conduct.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting chaired by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari here this morning with Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department, Secretary Law and Secretary Legislative Assembly.
Bukhari said that in order to familiarise the new entrants with the legislative proceedings; it has been decided to conduct a training session for new members ahead of the budget session. He said former MLAs and other experts will help the members in this endeavour.
