Red Wine
The trick to getting this stain out is that you have to be fast. Simply add white wine to the red wine, and the two counteract each other and you’re left with a clean, stain-free rug!
If the spill is excessive, add salt as well as white wine, and dab with paper towels (dab, don’t rub!). That stain will be gone in no time!
Chocolate
Remove as much of the excess chocolate as you can, and then employ the secret weapon: Club Soda! Soak a hearty amount into a sponge and blot away until the chocolate has disappeared!
Crayons
Baking Soda is your best friend. It sounds bizarre, but whip out the Arm & Hammer, apply generously to a damp cloth, and rub your way into success! In my experience, it doesn’t take that much effort (you won’t be rubbing and scrubbing all day) to get out even extravagant crayon murals.
Tea & Coffee
For coffee the trick is simply to soak in cool water, and then dab it with a liquid laundry detergent. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary … coffee gone!
For tea there is a cool secret ingredient – Lime juice! Start by rinsing the stained area with cold water, then apply a reasonable amount of pure concentrated lime juice. Let that soak in for a few minutes, and then rinse again with cold water.
Acrylic Paint
If you are trying to remove paint from clothes … spraying a generous amount of hairspray into the fabric and scraping away with something (I used a plastic knife, but anything that’s stiff and won’t rip the fabric would work!) works marvelously! Hairspray works good on getting out ink stains too.
Peanut Butter
The solution is interesting: Soda! I’ve used Coca-Cola to success, because it’s what I had on hand, but I’d imagine any kind of acidic carbonated beverage would work. Apply soda generously, rub out with fingers, repeat as necessary, rinse finally with water!
