Sony has recalled 73,000 TZ model Vaio Laptop computers after they discovered faulty wiring could cause overheating and burns.
Sony Viao laptop model numbers VGN-TZ100, VGN-TZ200, VGN-TZ300 and VGN-TZ200 are included in the recall. One person suffered a burn and 15 others said that their laptops overheated. Consumers are advised to stop using their laptops if it is one of the models listed above. They can also send their machines back to Sony and they will inspect and repair the problem. The Sony Vaios in question were sold between July 2007 and August 2008. If you think your machine might be included in the recall, take a look at the model number and call a Sony representative.
