Eight militants were killed in ongoing security forces operation in the Bajure tribal area on Sunday.
Sources say in total, 1,000 militants have been killed by security forces and seven men from the security forces and officers were martyred this year during confrontation with militants.
In the war against terror, more than 1,000 men and officers of the Pakistan security forces have sacrificed their lives while confronting Alqeeda and Taliban militants.
Official sources said that the Dara Adam Khel tribal area located between Kohat and the Peshawar capital of NWFP and Center of Narcotics and Weapon Trade are recaptured by security forces of Pakistan.
Kohat Friendship Tunnel is open for traffic now, and light vehicles can travel through the Tunnel. For heavy trucks, the traditional Kotal route is specified by authorities.
The sources also said migrants from Dara Adam Khel are now returning back to their homes. A truce between the warring Shia and Sunni sects of Kurram agency was signed on Sunday, and cease fire prevails in troubled area of Kurram agency now.
According to state media, in the Attock area of Punjab province, three employees working in an oil field were killed and a Polish engineer from the oilfield was kidnapped on Sunday.
Punjab police have encircled the area and strive to recover the kidnapped engineer from custody of the unknown abductors.
