Most of the deaths in Bangladesh and such other least developed cdountries(LDCs) are due to lack of nutrition and adqueate health care .About 20 to 30 par cent of the people of bangladesh suffer from malnurition . Almost 80 per cent of the children of Bangladesh do not get enough calories from their daily food, and about 17 thousend of them lose their eyesight every year for want of Vitamin A .The facilities that are available for health care in Bangladesh are the poorest in the world .
Dispit a huge number of deaths from various disease every year the population of Bangladesh is increasing at the rate of 2.3 par cent annualy , and it is likely to be doubled in 27 years if the present rate of growth persistsp. In Bangladesh there is only one doctor for every 12,119 people , one hospital bed for every 5,474 people and one nurse for every 59,556 people ,whereas in the developed countries one doctor is available for every 500 people .Similaly, other facilities are also satisfactory in those countries. The miniimum medical facilities are not available to the expectant and nursing mothers and their cheldren in many parts of rural Bangladesh . When sufficient health care and medical facilities cannot be extended to the growing number of people and necessary civic amenities cannot be proviide to them serious health and sanitation problems are likely to crop up. There will be more diseases and deaths on acount of malnutrition , unhygienic living and indiscriminate disposal of human waste and garbage. Ill health and disease affect the efficiency of the people, which in turn reduces agricultural and industrial production . In such a situation it is not possible to lead an easy and comfortable life . The people will rather feel miserable in such a situation.
