Forest Royalty Holders urged immediately releasing of auctioned timber.
CHITRAL: Members of Joint Forest Management Committee (FJMC) and legal royalty holders comprising over Muslim and Kalash community in a joint and huge press conference condemned a group of some so-called leaders who want to violate peaceful environment of Chitral They condemned former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitral and other who alleged in a press conference regarding illegal cutting of forest. They said that residents of Rumbor are legal royalty holders of forest because it has been decided in their favor by Supreme Court of Pakistan against Ayun people. There is no illegal cutting of forest but only windfall, snowfall and rainfall trunks are cutting for auction as a result 60% share is giving to its legal royalty holders. But even than these people want to deprive them from legal and genuine rights using different tactics. Addressing a press conference Abdul Majid Qureshi, Qazi Saeed, Haji Shifa, Haji Inzar Gul, Sher Muhammad etc said that our country facing acute thread of terrorism and situation on borders are is not feasible but despite that these people want to create unnecessary tension in the area and want to give free hands to terrorists across the border. They said that some leaders want to declare a pretty matter as a big issue of the region which is harmful for its peaceful environment. They urged on the district administration to control these people from their ill aim and to not allow them to deprive legal royalty holders from their rights. They also demanded from the authorities for taking legal action against those people (leaders belongs to other areas) who alleged us in a press conference and lodge FIR against them like people of Ayun. They declare that if these people have some doubts they should to approach the court or to discuss it in table talks. A large number of people of forest areas attended the press conference.
SHO police station Chitral promoted.
CHITRAL: Station House Officer of Police station Chitral Zafar Ahmad Khan sub inspector was promoted to the post of Inspector due a notification of Khyber Pakhtonkhwa police department notification. Zafar Ahmad is a honest police officer and have served as SHO at police station Drosh and Koghuzi.
Transporters warn to stop service to upper Chitral.
Transporters for upper Chitral warn to stop their service if the administration not review the present fare list. Talking to local journalists Zar Bahar Khan president of driver union Yarkhun said that conditions of road are very worsened and it have big ditches in it middle causing harmful for our vehicles but the district administration have issued a new fare rate list and have decreased our fare to these area. He said that in present condition we can not render service and will stop our transport service to upper area of Chitral.
