Jammu, April 07 (Scoop News)- Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Haq Khan today informed the House that the Government was making serious efforts to shift the body of cop Shabir Hussain to his native place in Leh in a Chopper, but the inclement weather is hampering the airlifting of the body. As soon as the weather improves, the body of the deceased will be airlifted to his native place, he said.
Responding to the point raised by Legislators Delden Namgyal and Asgar Karbalai in LA during the Zero Hour that the Government did not take timely steps to shift the body of the martyred cop to his home town, the Minister said that the Government is in solidarity with the bereaved family in this moment of grief and there is no question of any kind of slackness on this human issue.
Meanwhile, Syed Baqir Rizvi during the Zero Hour sought upgradation of power infrastructure to improve the overall power scenario in Zanskar area. He also sought steps for speedy compensation to those affected due to snowfall and landslides.
