For the last few years, many of us have been tossing our own conspiracy theories back and forth on many things. One such conspiracy theory was “election rigging.” Actually, it is one of the biggest conspiracy theories known in this day and age would be the subject of election rigging.
While there are other major conspiracy theories, this story is not about those conspiracy theories. However, this story could shed light on this conspiracy theory. Perhaps this conspiracy theory could no longer be a conspiracy theory.
Allen Raymond, a former GOP operative, says that election rigging is “possible.” Raymond ended up serving time in federal prison after he pleaded charges of phone harassment. In short, he was charged for phone harassment for jamming up the phone lines on Election Day back in 2002.
He talks about jamming the phone lines of the Democratic Party of New Hampshire on that day.
Raymond said that this scheme would mess with the communications of the party.
He said: “No calls going out. No calls going in.”
However in this article, CNN refuses to give the details on how Raymond pulled this scheme off.
According to them chairwoman of the NH Democratic Party Kathy Sullivan, she remembers the incident. Sullivan said that it created a massive migraine within her office.
She recalls the chaos in the office.
Sullivan said: “For example, at the Manchester field office, the young man who opened the office thought, ‘The phones are all ringing off the hook. Nobody’s here. I’ve broken the phone system. What did I do wrong?’ And he was on the verge of tears.’
But it was not the only place in which the phone lines were jammed up.
Raymond said that it was extremely “evil.” But, he adds that it was evil and ingenious.
While CNN refuses to give the details, they are available in Raymond’s book called, “How to Rig an Election: Confessions of a Republican Operative.”
One can buy a copy of the book from various stores such as Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc. For those curious about the details can always get a copy of the book.
It should make quite an interesting read.
So far, the scheme seemed to work. Soon, Raymond would be visited by federal agents.
The Democrats of New Hampshire seem to still be angry and sore over that incident back in 2002.
While Raymond is coming forth, it does not mean that he is the only one that has or will resort to using dirty tactics. In response, John Fund, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal and conservative author, says that both the GOP and Democrats have dirty players.
While Raymond has his book, Fund has his own book called “Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens our Democracy.” This book goes on the offensive on the liberal groups.
That book is too available from Borders, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Google, etc. Like Raymond’s book, Fund’s book should also be quite an interesting read.
In the case of Raymond, he could be cashing in on the story in the near future. According to him, there plans to be a movie adaptation of this story.
However, it does seem to be convenient for the most part that Raymond had come “clean” about it.
One must ask: Why is Raymond coming out about it now?
In thirteen days, starting tomorrow, the next United States President will be elected.
It will either be Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois or GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona.
