Impressing upon all the Yatra connected authorities to finalise their arrangements and deploy their Yatra staff one week earlier at all the halting stations. Naseem Lankar urged upon the Deputy Commissioners of Ganderbal and Anantnag districts, who have been designated as Yatra officers, to establish joint control rooms at Sonmarg and Pahalgam and include all the representatives of concerned departments. He asked the Metrological department authorities to closely liaise with both the control rooms so that Yatries are informed regarding weather condition before they proceed for Yatra.
The Principal Secretary to Governor, Mr. R. K. Goyal who is also CEO, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag Director Tourism, CEs of Power, R&B, PHE etc also attended the meeting.
The CE, R&B was directed to complete the improvement work on roads from Sonamarg to Baltal and Pahalgam to Chandanwari before the Yatra commences.
The Director Health informed the meeting that 23 medical aid camps would function round the clock during two month long Yatra and all the camps would be equipped with doctors, para-medics, ambulances, oxygen cylinders and life saving drugs. In addition, 19 medical camps will be set up by ISM department also.

Regarding availability of power, the CE, M&RE said three new receiveing stations are under execution in Ganderbal and Kangan area to augment the voltage and power supply in Sonmarg and Baltal area. Besides, 10 KV DG Sets would also be installed from Pahalgam, the traditional Yatra route.
The Sonmarg and Pahalgam Development Authorities and Urban Local Bodies authorities told that all necessary arrangements for maintaining sanitation and cleanliness during the Yatra have been finalised. The General Manager, SRTC and RTO said that transport arrangements for yatries have been made and contingency plan framed.
The Divisional Commissioner asked the Fire and Emergency Services department to keep their fire tenderers in readiness before commencing of Yatra particularly near Langar places and helipads in Sonmarg and Pahalgam.
The other connected departments including PHE, Information, Tourism, CA&PD, JK-TDC, Police etc were also directed to make all necessary arrangements in this behalf.
