Ayesha along with her boy friend Rajesh and her 3-year-old daughter came to visit Cubbon Park of Bangalore. They sat on an amusement ride called Tora-Tora.
She was holding her daughter. As soon as the ride started, the child slipped from her mother’s hand and fell off. To rescue her daughter Ayesha jumped from the ride at a leap of 5 ft and hit the railing surrounding the platform. The mother was rushed to the Bowring Hospital where she declared brought dead.
However, the visitors rescued her child and she suffered from very minute injuries.
Police took Rajesh in their custody for further processing. The child was sent to local organization for destitute children run by the women and child welfare department.
According to department secretary, a case of negligence registered against the contractor who was outsourced for maintenance of the park.
Park authorities have decided to discontinue the risky rides.
A compensation of Rs one lakh will be paid to the child.
