Andrew Giuliani, son of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, is suing Duke University for being unjustly kicked off of the golf team. He was recruited to play golf at Duke by previous coaches and claims that the new coach singled him out with unfair justifications to shrink the size of the team.
The new coach, O.D. Vincent III, cited incidents such as Andrew Giuliani breaking a club, walking ahead of his playing partner during a tournament and driving too fast out of a parking lot as reasons for his dismissal from the team. Andrew Giuliani also accuses Vincent of turning his teammates against him and using a "Lord of the Flies" technique to garner support.
Andrew Giuliani is a rising senior at Duke and one of the worst players on the team. His best finish last season was 34th place and his scoring average was 74.5, placing him 12th out of 14 players at Duke.
