There are people in our society who are suffering from bouts of being angry at their spouses’, children, relatives, friends, co-workers, and other associates. Anger builds to a rage within the mind, heart and soul, and it causes people to act out by saying and doing things they’ve never done before. Anger and rage can build inside a person for months or years until they explode or it can be a spontaneous moment in a person’s life when they’ll automatically get out of control and explode.
People who are on the receiving end of an anger rage can be totally devastated and hurt to their core. It can cause them to stand in silence because of being speechless because it’s not registering what has happened to them. Many times those who are in an angry rage will also begin to toss about books, papers, pencils and other things too.
A person, who suffers with a bad temper, expressing rage and anger, and they know they cannot control themselves without getting help from someone or something greater. I would like to offer some great Bible verses to help those people who are suffering with anger and rage issues to be able to put things into perspective to get in touch with their issues. Whether a person is or isn’t a Christian, I believe these verses will offer assistance and guidance for them.
It’s my truthful opinion anger and rage issues are probably harbored within people when they’re only a child. I’m speaking from my own experiences as a child when I felt an anger over some things I had "no" control over. The anger would equal a form of rage within me and I’d have to swallow it not to conjure up having trouble.
Once I became a Christian, I began to work every day of my life to overcome this anger and to build my thoughts into kindness, listening, and relating to the person who was causing me the anger.
In the Bible, Psalms 37: 8, 9 & 11, God’s word tells us to, "Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not one’s self in any wise to do evil. Fore evildoers will be cut off: but those who wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."
In the Bible, Psalms 145: 8 & 9, God’s word says, "The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works."
In the Bible, Proverbs 14: 17, God’s word tells us, "He that is soon angry deals foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated."
Every one of these verses in the Bible offers hope to help those who are suffering with anger and rage issues. Anger festers to cause outbursts that could cause a drastic tragedy to and in another person’s life. It can cause family feuds that can destroy a family forever and destroy important meaningful relationships.
It’s my opinion people should be wise when they feel they’re getting angry and mad and to back-off and wait out the conversation.
A person who has these types of issues does not have good inter-personal relationships with other people. Their personalities cause them to be shunned in all their work environments and personal surroundings. No-one wants to associate with a person who has anger management issues.
Anger and rage can be a hazard to a person’s health and it might also cause the person to possibly have a stroke or a heart attack too. Anger and rage constantly festering within a person is not healthy, and there are consequences they’ll suffer, because they’ll either hurt someone they love, say something offensive to a relative or a close friend or they’ll end up in a hospital or doctor’s office.
