CHITRAL. Snow Leopard Foundation with the assistance of USAID under the Ambassador Support Fund arranged 7 days refresher course on Animal Husbandry. The course was attended by Community Livestock Extension Workers (CLEW) from 12 villages. Snow Leopard Foundation had hired the services of renowned Animal Scientist from the Animal Sciences department of National Agriculture Research Center, NARC Islamabad. It is pertinent to mention that SLF had provided an opportunity to these CLEWs to attend 20 days Animal Husbandry course in NARC Islamabad and this 7 days course was a refresher session.
Divisional Forest Officer Wildlife Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed attended the concluding session as Chief Guest while Dr. Shiekh Amhed Senior Veterinary Officer Chitral presided over the concluding session. While speaking on the occasion Chief Guest and Dr. Sheikh lauded the services of SLF in the field of conservation. They urged the trainees to work actively in the field. They also thanked USAID for supporting conservation activities in Chitral. (Chitral Post)
