So, we are in for another ride on the MCA [Malaysian Chinese Association] train.
MCA is one of the main component parties that made up the National Front or the BN coalition. Thanks to its never-ending woes, MCA is once again on
What is more puzzling now is the unexpected barbs coming from some senior leaders of the party in reaction to suggestions that Ong Ka Ting, a former leader, return to serve as its President.
If that particular suggestion is anything to go by, it would also meant that none of the existing leaders is good enough to lead MCA. After all these years and the endless grooming to produce future leaders, suddenly they came face to face with futility.
Another interesting remark came from none other than one Dr Syed Husin Ali of PKR who stated that no other PKR leader will leave the Party. ‘The cleaning exercise is over,” says the man.
Well, everybody, was it a leaning exercise? As far as this writer is concerned, it does not seem so. The actual scenario was some leaders jumping overboard because they sensed their ship is inevitably sinking. Oh my, that man is in a ‘sense of denial.’
We sensed somebody is once again trying to placate somebody. The smoke signal says,
‘It is all right here. Nobody is shaking your seat. That must be a tremor from the earthquake across the strait.’
