It has recently been brought to our attention that a source was falsely cited in an article published on GroundReport. In an article titled “Swiss Ameropa’s Chairman might be involved in a bribery of Libyan Officials” published on March 14, 2013, the author stated that journalist Ghazi Gheblawi provided him with information acquired from Swiss Prosecutors.
GroundReport was contacted by Ghazi on April 3, 2013 and informed that he had nothing to do with the case and had not provided the author any information. The author was given an opportunity to present evidence that Ghazi was indeed a source, but at this time, we have not gotten any response from the author of the article.

We have removed the article in question as well as suspended the account of the reporter.
