I am appalled at the recent lawsuit brought to life by Atheists who are against the 9/11 Cross made from Steel from the World Trade Center.
David Silverman, the president of American Atheists filed a lawsuit demanding "equal representation" at the future 9/11 Memorial and Museum reports The New York Times. "They can allow every religious position to put in a symbol of equal size and stature, or they can take it all out, but they don’t get to pick and choose," Silverman said.
Well, I beg to differ Mr. Silverman. I don’t recall anyone in any other religion or non religion complaining about this cross when they went to work every day sifting through debris for your cousins friends brothers tooth fragments, eyeball or bone fragments in order to lay them to rest with the respect and dignity they deserve. That cross is a piece of AMERICAN HISTORY – nothing more. If I am offended by something like say, the descration of the Holy Mother in the name of Art, I just don’t go see it. This country has gone completely insane. The country was founded on Christianity – and you can’t bury history just because you are "offended". I am offended that you would show such a lack of respect for your fellow man – no religion necessary. None of it demands a lawsuit. It demands common sense and respect.
