I’m not sure what the word “Bemo” means, but I now know what it is, and what it does.
Bemo is a simple video camera that fits in your pocket, syncs with your phone, and allows you to shoot, edit, and share videos on-the-go. The Bemo is a social camera that makes it easy to share video clips of your most memorable moments with just one click. Your captured moments can edited and shared across your favorite social media sites on the go with the Bemo app.
Logitech has created a social camera that makes recording on the go, wonderful and simple. One can go about purchasing a Bemo today at the price of $129. The contents which are included in the box are the Bemo social camera, a 4 GB microSD card, a micro USB cable, lanyard, and user documentation.
The Bemo comes with a height of 18.77 millimeters, width of 30 millimeters, depth of 92 millimeters, and a weight of 60 grams. The Bemo comes in three colors Moroccan red, Mykonos blue, and Manhattan black. The Bemo is water resistant, which means it can sustain against water but it is not recommended to be in anything that could cause complete submersion. The battery of the camera is 680 mAh Lithium-ion polymers. The connectivity for the phone is Bluetooth 2.1 enhanced data rate, with distances of up to 33 feet.
The camera’s front side has 8 megapixels, a microphone below the lens, and the one touch recording button.
The camera’s left side come with a five bar LED power gauge that shows the battery life.
The camera’s right side has the on and off switch and below that the panel which holds more features. The panel holds the entry port for the power cable, the Bluetooth connection button, and the 4GB micro SD card.
The back side of the camera comes with a clip which can be attached to the lanyard provided.
The Bemo should be charged when first brought out of the box, and then one can use the LEDs on the side will show the battery levels and charge. The supplied micro USB cable can be plugged into any charger or USB of a laptop to charge the Bemo. If all the five bars are lit up the charge is 100%, four bars is 75%, three bars is 50%, two bars is 25% and one bar means low battery. The Bemo comes with a 4GB micro SD card preinstalled, with up to three hours of video. The first step to getting started and using your Bemo is to move the slide switch to on. The Bemo can pair with the iPhone 5 and 6 currently.
One must press the Bluetooth pairing button on the Bemo, the Bluetooth must be enabled on your phone prior to pairing. The Bluetooth LED will rapidly flash then turn off to signal a successful pairing. Once the power switch has flipped to on the ability to record videos is instantly available. Video mode requires one to press and hold the front button to capture the video; the recording will end once the button is released. The LEDs on the side will show the length of the active recording while pressed. One can install the lanyard by pulling it under the back clip to attach to the Bemo. The lanyard length can be adjusted to one’s neck by moving the cord adjuster.
The Bemo has an iOS operating system which can also has an app further builds upon the capabilities of the camera and the extent of what the user can do. The Bemo app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iPhone 5 and 6. The app allows one to discover the content captured from the camera, assemble short video clips to create shareable moments, and use the live viewfinder to make sure the activity is in frame. The camera can be remotely triggered from your iPhone, activate time lapse to create stop motion video clips and keep an eye on the camera’s status such as the battery and memory. The edits that can be made through the compiled clips can include tunes, titles and filters.
At least now I know what the word “Bemo” means. It means fun!
