Dear president,
As a kid I am always trying to get money, because 2 bucks a week definitely doesn’t cut it. By the way, $2 a week is 1 penny an hour. Recently I attempted a lemonade stand. Keyword was attempted. I made $10 over 3 hours which isn’t much but is 333% more money than usual. I made each cup 25 cents and besides the obnoxiously rich guys in the $300,000 Porsches everyone bought the ridiculously sugary beverage. I shouldn’t say that there were also the occasional soccer-moms who ran through the stop sign at the end of my street, because she was on her cell phone. But that is beside the point.
For the first 30 minutes I priced the lemonade at 50 cents and only one car stopped and 15 cars didn’t, opposed to the 14 out of 16 that stopped thereafter. This showing that even the slightest alteration can give someone the ability to think about whether they should buy it or not. Last year I was able to sell lemonade for twice the price. What I am trying to get to is if everything were to be half the price then everything would be fixed. Think about it. If you lost half your money in the economy and everything was half the price then it would be back to normal.
There are several easily fixed dilemmas to this philosophy. First, would be how the department stores afford to cut prices in half. Like my lemonade stand twice the people would by so although we its cost would be closer to creation cost there would be more money coming in. Oh, well that isn’t several dilemmas that’s just one.
There a few more perks to my master plan to fix the world. More foreigners will come to shop in America in search for a good deal giving the U.S. more common wealth. Then over 5 years or so the dollar will go up making us (in comparison to other countries) a lot richer. Whoever reads this and agrees should help send this around the world because it must be heard. I know it is beyond radical but radical is what our country needs.
Sincerely your friend,
Ben Sterne
