Usually, criminals and land grabbers are in news for bad deeds but trend has changed and same is being done by Sadhus and Brahamcharis. In a recent incident it has been allegedly established that incharge saint of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Paingran near Nagrota has grabbed a piece of land adjacent to original land in connivance with revenue officials. The case was appraised by trustees of the Ashram at various administration levels but nothing productive has had yielded as according to well informed sources the money has been changing hands to hush up the case.
Last year when construction works were being carried nearly Rs 70 lakh embezzlement was noticed to which a case FIR 282 of 2012 has been registered at PS Nagrota. Visitors to Asram had also complained of mismanagement and indecent activities. One of the visitor informed that almost every month 4 to 5 women come to Asram and stay for three four days in suspicious circumstances. They said that there has been a different type atmosphere in and around the asram which is not accept to locals and they are aghast over the behavior of Brahamchari the incharge.
A delegation comprised of trustees apprised upon the district magistrate and submitted a complaint in this regard og June 18 but not any productive approach was seen in the handling of case. Trustees were assured timely and prompt action by DM and his team including teshildar and others. They said they don’t have access to accounts and have no knowledge about the happenings reportedly being circulated in media and press. They said have, however, thinking about legal aspect of the case to which communication at headquarters of Ashram in Kolkata are on.
They also informed that they had information of another fraud of Rs 10 lakh to which they investigating and if the need arise they would approach to police for filing another FIR in embezzlement soon, they added. To know that if a alleged Bangladeshi national could head an Asram in Jammu and Kashmir remained unsolved as higher police officials were not contacted at phone. (Real News Agency)
