Better Yielding Eco-Friendly and Cost-Effective Method a Possibility in Indian Farming

Farming has long been dependent on rains and it has become a big liability to understand how to get good yield at less expense. There have been various research projects being handled by centers and individuals. Some of them have been successful on a small scale others on a larger scale. However, there isn’t a fully equipped method introduced in the Indian farming sector. Every year the farmers face a huge loss due to the scanty rainfall or otherwise due to excessive rainfall. This results in food inflation and farmers committing suicide. For this purpose, Mr. G.A.Pradeep of Hi Tech Agro Services (Bangalore) has invented after years of research a high-yielding ec0-friendly method for Indian farmers that is also extremely cost-effective.  Pradeep is trying to reach out to the present Union Agriculture Minister and also to PM Modi for implementing his technique. As per Pradeep, this technique can be used all across the country.

Here is, what he had to say on specific questions put forth by me:

When did you think about this project?

We thought about this project 3 years back.

What were the initial obstacles faced by you?

Convincing the farmers to lend their land for field  trial and following  our yield enhancing protocol  during cultivation.

How did you receive help?

Local Panchayat members helped us to convince  a couple of farmers to try our product and to follow the cultivation protocol.

How were your initial results and trials?

Initial trials were  successful to an extent which gave us a boost to go in for more trials using

other  additional  yield enhancing modules.

Which crops do you think are best for your project?

Almost all types of  food crops , cash crops and plantation crops having tap root and fibrous root system (monocots and dicots)

How will farmers benefit from this?

We have noticed an average increase of yield between 30 to 40 % in food crops  and cash  crops. In plantation crops, it is between 15 to 25% hence, it increases the income. Moreover, the quality of the output will fetch the farmer, the maximum price in the market. There will be no harmful chemical residual in the yield product which makes it safe for internal consumption  and  for export as it passes European  food safety standards.

Is it applicable to all types of crops and soil variety?

Yes, after soil  testing the required quantity of product  will be decided on case to case basis . Soil with less nutrients present will require more quantity of product to be applied to the soil while cultivation.

How is it affordable than traditional methods?

The increase in cost of cultivation  is minimal compared to additional revenue .For example,  additional expense of 3600 made per acre of sugarcane cultivation will approx fetch him (farmer) an additional income of 60000  to 75000 per acre and in rice the additional cost of Rs 2600 will fetch an additional income of approx Rs.20000 to Rs. 30000/acre.

Are there any solutions for drought and floods?

Yes,  the organic plant health formula increases plant life to an extent in drought condition and this has been successfully proved in Dubai where we used it while growing Basmathi Rice under shade net for the first time and the rice plants with stood the extreme desert climatic condition

How do you wish to expand this project and implementation?

We would like to work with the Ministry of Agriculture Govt of India and take up pilot projects in different villages all over India as consultants for this project. We are planning to base a couple of our field trials people permanently with the Govt  to identify areas convince the farmers and to earmark villages where the pilot projects are to be started and to follow up on our protocol  for cultivation. This trial plots will serve as model  for other farmers in the village to follow and our consultants will be there to guide them in every step.We are asking for 8 to 12 Months to prove that the yield can be increased with better quality of output. We are planning to increase the yield all over India with strong support from Shri Modi’s Government and other state governments and we hope to complete this all India project in 50 to 60 months  time depending on Government strong support and Advice.

Can you List the Field Trial Results?

They have already run Clinical trials  successfully  from past 3 years have proved that if a farmer follows their protocol of cultivation using organic growth enhancers they get a higher yield with less toxic  residual effect and higher quality of food crops  Commercial crops  and plantation crops. The extra  cultivation cost factor is very cheap compared to the increase in yield and hence it leads to  increase in revenue earned and better the economic status of ruler farmer.

1)The trial runs conducted over 3 years have shown an increase of 20 % in the yield of Paddy with Minimum increase in cultivation cost .

2)The clinical trials in Sugar cane has shown a increase of 25 % with minimum increase in cultivation cost. Also it has increased the sugar content by 13.5% which fetches the farmer a better Price in the market.

3)The clinical trials on short term crops  such as Gherkins and Water melon and vegetables has shown an increase Of 25% in yield.

Overall, it looks like a good research for increasing the yield of crops. India is facing malnutrition and other related issues along with food inflation. If such projects are encouraged then it will prove to be cost-effective and helpful for India to solve it’s food problem. Hopefully, Government of India will look into this research and will give it the due that is required.
