Biodiversity conservation discussed in a sensitize session at Garamchishma.

CHITRAL: During a daylong sensitization seminar at Garamchishma under the chair of Anwar Baig member conservation management committee (CMC) members of different VCCs were motivated for conservation of natural resources including wild life, forest etc. Members and presidents of different valley conservation committee (VCCs) participated in this sensitize session. Addressing to the seminar the speakers said that in past there were Ibex, snow leopard, snow bear, rich forest in the area and other precious birds were living here in these jungles. But they were disappeared gradually due to our negligence and illegal hunting.
If we disturbed eco system of nature we will automatically be disturbed in case of flood and other natural calamities.
They said that recent flood also occurred due to de-forestation and cutting of trees and over grazing by goats. They stressed upon the members of different VCCs to must play role in preservation and conservation for sustainable development and promoting of eco tourism. As well as to save our lives and property from natural calamity.
If there will Ibex, Markhor, snow leopard and rich forest in the area a large number of tourists will approach the valleys which will impact long terms positive effect on our economy.
The speakers stressed upon the participants to play their role for conservation of natural resources like wild life, marine life, forest, and mountains etc which are required for human life.
Those who spoke on the occasion were Majeed Khan, Bacha Gul, Sardar Ayaz, Amir Wali, Muhammad Siddique, Anwar Baig chairman Conservation management committee and Khush Muhammad.
The speakers also women folk that the organization will sonly repair woolen machines for women folk .
A large number of representatives of VCCs and social workers participated in the session.
