Jammu,July 11 (Scoop News) -"Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only viable option available for the nationalist sections of society particularly in a state like Jammu and Kashmir where all other mainstream political parties including the Congress have surrendered the national interest to appease separatists in their blatant bid for power."
This was stated today by BJP National Executive Member & J&K Chief Spokespreson Dr. Jitendra Singh while leading a door to door membership drive of the party in Reasi and Katra towns of district Reasi of which Dr. Jitendra Singh also happens to be party’s district "Prabhari" (Incharge). District President Kabla Singh and Reasi district Membership Incharge Chain Singh were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that in J&K, the only agenda of the Congress party is to hang on to power by forging convenient alliances with Kashmir-centric, separatist-friendly political parties as a result of which the Congress is constrained to maintain silence on Interlocutors’ report and Sagheer Ahmed Report. Under such circumstances, BJP is the only party which has the responsibility of acting as a saviour of Indian sovereignty and Indian nationalism in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
While appealing to the masses to come forward and assume party membership of BJP, Dr. Jitendra Singh said BJP is not merely a political party but a rallying point for all the patriotic Indians.
On the occasion, the process of preparing polling booth membership incharges for each Mandal was also initiated. An appeal was also made to contribute generously for the fund for construction of party’s new office complex named Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookeerjee Bhavan at Jammu.
Prominent among those who accompanied Dr. Jitendra Singh in membership drive in Reasi included Joginder Singh, Sheel Mangotra, Chanderkanta, Sudesh Pandotra, Subhash Chander, Capt. Daya Ram, Narsingh Dass, Chaman ji and in Katra including Kuldeep Dubey, Sunder Sharma Master ji, Dr. H.K. Padha, Shashi Gupta, Sham Lal, Sudesh Manoj Sadhotra and Rakesh ji.
