Two men wearing Black Panthers attire tryed to influence the voters today,at a local polling place in Philadelphia, according to Fox News.
One of them was escorted from the scene and the other was demanded to leave later, but not before a University of Pennsylvania "media guy"started a discussion with him.The student also explained to the Black
Panther that his presence is out of the ordinary,because of the stick that the Black Panther was holding, insteed of a weapon,as he was trying just to be helpful,as he replied.
The two strange mans have been escorted out of the scene by the police.
People were scared by these persons due to their ”black”history:
The Black Panther Party (originally the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense) was a Marxist/Maoist African-American organization established to promote Black Power and self-defense,founded in Oakland, California, by Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale on October 15, 1966.The Panthers worked with different groups, including the movements of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and Youth International Party (Yippies); the Chicano Brown Berets; the California Peace and Freedom Party; and the post-Stonewall riot Gay Liberation Front. It was active in the United States from the mid-1960s into the 1970s.
They have created a program,known as ”The ten point program”,as a tool for their demands:
-the power to determine the destiny of the black and oppressed communities
the right to the true education, true history and their real role in the present-day society.
-free health care for all black and oppressed people.
-an immediate end to police brutality and murder of black people and of all oppressed people inside the United States.
-an immediate end to all wars of aggression.
-right to full employment
-an end to the robbery by the capitalists of the Black Community
-decent housing, fit for the shelter of human beings
-decent education for their people that exposes ”the true nature of this decadent American society”
– freedom for all black and oppressed people now held in U. S. Federal, state, county, city and military prisons and jails. We want trials by a jury of peers for all persons charged with so-called crimes under the laws of this country.
-land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice, peace and people’s community control of modern technology.
They have had a reputation for violence,decay and disintegration.
They were officially recognised as an organisation on July 31, 2004,as the The National Alliance of Black Panthers,after forty years of fights,injuryes and brutality against them.
