Music, barbecue, friends and fun proves to be on the agenda for the small southern town of Clarksdale, Ms as the city prepares for a weekend of blues bliss.

Dasbach is originally from the Netherlands, a musician in his own right, he came to Clarksdale in 2005 to open the Rock and Blues Museum which holds a wide collection of blues artifacts, paintings, and record collections showcasing the heritage of American Music and Culture. Together he and Cathead Records owner Roger Stolle organized the Caravan Music Fest held in May and later organized the Second Street Blues Festival. The festival is a means of promotion for tourism in Clarksdale through it’s famous blues heritage. A Dutch film crew will be filming Dasbach and the museum for a documentary, also another means of promotion for Clarksdale and the Rock and Blues Museum. Dasbach is co-producing the documentary along with director and producer Jan Doense. Dasbach plans on showing the crew around the many juke joints and other historic places like Hopson Plantation, Shack Up Inn and Riverside Hotel. The crew will also interview blues legends T-Model Ford, Selwyn Cooper and Liz Mandeville. The festival begins Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. Performers will include Dasbach himself (A.K.A.) the Delta Dutch Boggie-man, Selwyn Cooper, Band from Louisiana, Bill “howl-n-madd” Perry, Stan Street Trio, Carlos Elliot and Sam Joyner. Saturday evening, The Den will open it’s doors at 7:00 p.m. for live performances from Mississippi Blues Legend T-Model Ford, Selwyn Cooper Band, Theo Dasbach, David Raye, David Summers, Liz Mandeville, Carlos Elliot and others. The festival continues into Sunday morning starting at 10:00 a.m. with Daddy Rich, Mississippi Rose Lee, Deak Harp and Stan Street Trio.
