After hurdling the difficult playoff round the Boston Celtics is now trying to reclaim its old glory in the ongoing NBA Finals against their old rival, the L.A. Lakers. Boston’s Big Three starred by Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, backed-up by veteran playmaker Sam Cassell and deep bench, are up to relive the Celtics winning traditions since the Larry Bird era.
And after only a short rest from their last assignment against the formidable Detroit Piston, the Celtics draws first blood in their opening game by trouncing Kobe Bryant led L.A. Lakers. It can be seen on the Celtics attitude that they are a hungry team and are ready to claim their first championship after 20 long years in the shame list of NBA goners.
The trio of Garnett, Pierce and Allen has shown to the basketball fanatics around the world that they can at least relive the Boston Celtics’ billing as one the best teams in the NBA. The Big Three aims to have their first championship trophy before time can catch up with them. It’s now or never.

At this time, it’s really hard to predict who will win the NBA championship crown given the fact that both teams are hard pressed to reclaim the old glory of their intense rivalry. In a sense, I prefer the Boston Celtics to win this year’s 2007-2008 NBA finals.
