Srinagar, September 27 (Scoop News)- The Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) constituted by the government to resolve the issues of employees held 2nd round of talks with the representatives of employees Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) here today. The discussion lasted for about 2-hours.
The Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather, who is chairman of the CSC assured the employees representatives that the issues raised by them are under serious consideration of the government. He said government wants to address the grievances of the employees with the positive frame of mind and does not want any confrontation with them. He said the government has already accepted most of the demands of the employees and was open to address their other issues that may arise from time to time.
All the members of the CSC were present in the meeting. These included Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for Medical Education and Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma and Minister for Planning & Development, Ajay Sadhotra.
Chief Secretary, Iqbal Khanday, Principal Secretary Finance, B. B. Vyas and Secretary General Administration Department, M. A. Bukhari were also present in the meeting.
Rouf Ahmad Bhat, Abdul Qayoom Wani, Mohammad Gafoor Dar and Mohammad Ashraf represented the employees JCC.
