Commentary: It is sad to know we live in a world that is forced into cannibalism to keep their families from starving to death. In my opinion this is a terrible inhumane situation for the people living in these countries and who are being controlled by leaders who are more interested in enhancing their power in the world than to feed its own people. This is becoming a daily routine in some countries as they begin to seek a more powerful nation.
I read an article on the Newser.Com Internet site that stated rumors of cannibalism are emerging from North Korea because of a food shortage and this may have caused the deaths of at least 10,000 people as reported by a Global Post report.
The article stated a father was executed after he killed two of his kids to have meat for the family to eat. His wife had been away on a trip and when she returned, the husband had cooked the children as a meal and served them to his wife. This is one of the most gruesome and horrendous acts I’ve ever read about in my entire life.
It’s sad when a parent becomes so desparate to feed their families they have to revert to drastic actions of killing their children for food. How inhumane and atrocious for a country to deny people food in order for them to achieve a powerful nation? Spending money needed to feed people to achieve power is more important than the people in their country.
The article also stated that the wife became concerned and suspicious about her children and she reported the two children missing to the authorities. The authorities searched for the missing children and they located parts of the children’s remains under some eaves.
In the Independent reports it was reported informants had told about a man being arrested for digging up his own buried grandchild and ate it for food; and another man went out of his mind from starvation and he boiled his own child for dinner.
The article indicated that severe starving is happening in North Korea and Pyongyang is continuing to wave a sword around and to threaten the U.S. with firing a nuclear missile at it and taking resilient physical countermeasures if South Korea participates in the so-called UN sanctions.
It’s appaling to read about these acts of violence an inhumane treatment against human life in any society in the world. I leave this with those people who are in these countries and suffering tortuous acts of greed and iniquity against them and they cannot help themselves as follows:
Psalm 27 (Verses 1 – 3) the Lord is my light and my salvation; that shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of which I shall be afraid. When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up the flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
