While nationwide protests against the first Vice-President Paramananda Jha are going on for the fourth consecutive day due to his oath-taking in Hindi, advocate Bal Krishna Neupane has filed a case today against him stating that it was against Nepal’s constitution.
In the writ that he registered in the Supreme Court, Neupane has demanded either Vice-President Jha take oath in Nepali language or be made to resign.
The Nepalis have continued their protests against Vice-President Jha demanding that he apologize for taking oath in Hindi and re-take the oath either in Nepali or his own mother tongue Maithil.
In the meantime, student unions have decided to continue their protests until the vice-president corrects himself. The public transport system was disrupted for several hours this afternoon as the students protested against the vice-president in different parts of the Kathmandu Metropolis.
